The Care For You Medicine Program The Care For You Medicine Program is the first attempt to create in Bulgaria a western type of organization for efficient control of health care costs, a unique information link between patient, physician, pharmacist and the Health Care Fund, new modern mechanisms for improvement of therapeutic results. With the implementation of the program Commercial League makes its contribution as the biggest, most innovative and far-seeing distributor of pharmaceuticals in Bulgaria trying to provide assistance to the health reform. The Care For You Medicine program has three directions:
Participation in the Care For You Medicine Program can start in each of the associated pharmacies or the specialized information and registration centers by filling in a registration card. The data in the card is sent electronically to a central information system where an electronic patient card is created. With the personal card received the patient can prove his/her official participation in the program when purchasing medicines. Thus a unique information link between patient - pharmacist - physicians - Health Care Fund is created and the above mechanism is put into operation. So far there are more than 10 500 members of the program. There are 50 associated pharmacies that have the necessary technical equipment and qualified personal to implement the program and over 800 doctors who have confirmed their willingness to cooperate with registration cards and to receive information by the program's personnel about medicines bought by the patients. |
